3. After that, you have to select the backup frequency (daily, weekly, monthly or manually)

 

4. Next, enter the Google account where you want to create the backup of chat history. If you do not have Google account, then you have to tap on Add Account option and fill the login details

6. You can also check the box Include videos to backup videos also

7. Finally, tap on the Back Up button to backup all your messages and media to Google Drive

Note: Media and Messages you back up are not protected by WhatsApp end-to-end encryption while in Google Drive.

After creating the backup of WhatsApp chats and media on Google Drive, the user can easily download it on his/her system.

1. First, you have to open Google Drive on your system’s web browser. Now, your Google Drive page will be opened if you are logged into your Google Account. If it is not opened then you have to first Sign In into your Google Account

2. In your Drive window, click on the WhatsApp data files or folders and select it by clicking Ctrl +A or Command+A (Mac users)

 

3. Click on the button with three dots at the top right corner of the page. Then a drop down menu will appear

4. Now, you have to click on the Download button. After that, the Google Drive will start downloading your data

 

Note: Google Drive will compress the files into a ZIP folder

5. After the completion of the downloading process, you can extract them from ZIP folder and access them
