Step 1: Check Exchange Database & Transaction Log File Folder Location

Step 2: Check Exchange Database State

Step 3: Generate the Recovery Database in Exchange 2013 Server

You have to check or verify that the recovery database you have created is in a mounted state. Use the cmdlet given below to verify the database mount state:

Get-MailboxDatabase -status RDB11 | fl Mounted

Step 5: Mount Database

Insert the command mentioned below if the database is not in a mounting state:

Mount-Database “enter_the_recovery_database_name”

After that, again check the database state by using the command provided in the above step.

Step 6: Verify the Restored Database Mailbox Statistics

Get-MailboxStatistics -Database  | ft -auto

Run the following command to find entire Exchange mailboxes that exist in the recovery database:

Get-MailboxStatistics -Database RecoveryDB | ?{$_.DisplayName -like ‘xxx-xxx’} | fl DisplayName,MailboxGuid,DisconnectDate

Step 7: After that, users have to restore the mailboxes via  New-MailboxRestoreRequest cmdlet. There are specific commands to restore complete Exchange mailbox, restore mailbox via GUID, etc…

Step 8: Then, check the status of the mailbox restore request by using the cmdlet given below:

Get-MailboxRestoreRequest

Step 9: Then execute the command below to remove the restore request when the status of restore is completed.

Get-MailboxRestoreRequest -Status Completed | Remove-MailboxRestoreRequest
