Computers play vital role in life of every human being whether s/he is young professional, businessman or home seeker. Computer is machine which is gathering of different modules like CPU, Mouse, UPS, Desktop and Keyboard. Managing all components is mandatory to run computers smoothly and most importantly keyboard using which you can command computers. In this section we will reveals some most important keyboard shortcuts that will help you rise productivity and decrease strain.

Instead of highlighting text with keyboard, a short cut key (Ctrl + C) is more convenient. Just like this here are some more short cuts to keyboard that can help you to work faster on computers.

Keyyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert : Both the keys Ctrl + C and Ctrl + Insert are used to copy selected text. This will help you more easily copy all text instead of selecting and copying from keyboard. If you want to cut instead of copy then you can press Ctrl + X.
  • Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert : Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert, these short cut keys are used to paste the copied content to respective position where user require. This is more convenient way to paste the copied content to desirable place of user.
  • Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y : Ctrl + Z is used to undo any wrong changes to content. If any user has command something accidently wrong then this key can be used to undo save changes. This command can be used to do undo multiple times and pressing Ctrl + Y will redo the changes.
  • Ctrl + F : Ctrl + F key are used to find particular keyword or text from any program. Internet browser is used to find out text on current page.
  • Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Tab : These shortcut keys are used to quickly switch between open programs. Pressing Ctrl + Tab will help to switch between tabs and pressing Ctrl + Tab will help to move backward.
    Tip : Windows Vista and 7 users can also use press Windows Key + Tab to switch through open programs.
  • Ctrl + Back Space And Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow : Pressing Ctrl + Backspace key will help to delete full word instead of single character at a time. Pressing Ctrl + Left/Right key will help to move forward to next word at time instead of one character. For highlighting one word at time hold Ctrl + Shift key and press left/right key.
  • Ctrl+ S : Using Ctrl + S keys provide provision of saving respective file on hard disk or any storage location desirable by user.
  • Ctrl + Home or Ctrl + End : Pressing Ctrl + Home key will help to move cursor to starting of the program and Ctrl + End key will help to reach at the end of the document. This key works with all types of documents and web pages.
  • Ctrl + P : Pressing Ctrl + P key will help to open a print preview of current document or file. It will provide an idea about how page will look for printing.
  • Page Up, Space Bar and Page Down : Page Up and Down keys will help to move particular page one in up/down direction. While browsing on Internet, space bar helps to move page down at a time.

Tip : If space bar key is used to go to down page at time then for going up to page you need to press space bar + Shift key.
