Intel 9th Generation Processors, with New Core i9, i7, i5, Launching This October
Highlights:
- Intel to launch “Intel 9th generation processors ” in October
- Intel will also introduce new Core i9 processors this October
- This first First mainstream processor will possess 8 cores & 16 threads, TDP 95w, work on 14nm++ process
In a bid to bring the simplicity in the technology and stay ahead of the pitfalls, Intel is reportedly launching Intel 9th generation processors including Core i9 in this October. It will not be the company’s Cannon Lake chips based on the 10nm process. The Intel 9th generation has been developed based on the improvements and built on the 14 nm++ node. In this write-up, we will discuss more about this new launch.
According to the Wccftech’s reports, people will see three next generation of Intel processor Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 that will unlock the CPU on 1st October that will be branded as 9th generation processors.
Features of Intel 9th Generation Processors
The mainstream flagship processor, Intel Core i9-9900K is expected to ship with 8 cores and 16 threads and includes a 3.6 GHz base clock. It can be boosted up to 5.0 GHz in both single and dual cores. Also, it is capable to hit 4.8 GHz in 4 cores and hit 4.7 GHz in 6 and all 8 cores. However, it is considered to be the first mainstream Core i9 desktop processor in addition to being the first Intel chip with 8 cores and 16 threads. It will include the 16 MB of L3 cache and Intel’s UHD 620 graphics chip.
Even the Intel’s 9th generation Core i7-9700K processor is expected to ship with the feature 8 cores and a similar number of threads that is 8 threads. It has 12MB of L3 cache and also has less number of threads than the Core i7-8700K but contains higher core count. It is known to have a base clock of 3.6 GHz but it gives slightly slower boost speed than i9-9900K. So, it is about 100$ cheaper and has the same 95W TDP.
Last but not the least; the next is the Core i5-9600K, which is thought to have the 6 core and 6 threads. It has the capacity to boost up to 4.3 GHz with all cores and 4.6 GHz with a single core. In addition, it may have 9MB of L3 cache with a base clock of 3.7GHz.
After considering the news of WCCFTech, the given below table shows the other 9th generation chips set for the release in next year
Intel 9th Generation Processors Specifications
There are several motherboard vendors along with Wccftech who have confirmed that the upcoming 9000 series of Intel processors will be compatible with existing Z3xx series of motherboards. However, Intel is also expected to introduce a new Z390 platform controller and its new 8-core desktop CPUs.
Summing Up
Intel has recently updated that they are going to launch the Intel 9th generation processors, including Core i9 in this 1st October. The release of the new platform seems to be really a good idea. In this blog, we have discussed some of the facts about this new launch according to the Wccftech’s reports. We have also described the features and functionality of the next three generation of Intel processor Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 that that will be branded as 9th generation.
