Installing MS SQL Database On Your PC

The process to install MS SQL Server database on Windows computer may be quite disturbing if you do not have technical know-how about the correct way for the same. In this section, the process to install MS SQL Server is elaborated step-by-step:

  • The first step is to login to the Windows computer as admin because, if you will log into the computer with user rights then you may face interruption during MS SQL Server installation. If you are in need to execute the process in smoother way then, always do it with administrative rights
  • Download MySQL Windows Installer, it is free and you can avail it from Google search. Get it on your Windows Desktop computer. If you do have any doubt about version of this installer then, just get the MySQL Installer for Windows.
  • When you will double click on the zip file you have downloaded from internet, it will explore unzipping of the file as well as you can see the internal content of the unzipped file.
  • Within Archive folder of the unzipped file, you will get setup.exe file, make double click on it for initializing set up process
  • Click on Next tab for proceeding the installation process
  • On Screen you will see custom -> Click on Next, this option will let you select the location where you want to store SQL Server after installation, as well it is suggested to install MS SQL Server where Apache is installed
  1. Within next window you will see MySQL Server -> follow Change option
  2. The other window with Folder Name will let you change directory settings to change the location of Server, afterwards you need to click on OK
  3. The Other window exploring Next tab shows that you are ready to install MS SQL Server
  • Click on Install tab, it will execute some self-installation actions
  • Skip Sign-up and then click on Next tab, as the installation gets finished you will see MySQL sing up wizard, if you do not want to sign up then you can skip this process and you can do it later, after ignoring this option you will see a message ‘Wizard Completed’
  • For configuring MySQL you need to checked in to the MySQL Server Now then, make a click on Finish tab
  • Next for entering into set-up configuration
  • Check the Standard Configuration check-box and then click on Next tab, this configuration is recommended for all the users
  • Be sure that you are proceeding with Install as Windows Service and Launch the MySQL Server Automatically and afterwards click on Next
  • After entering a root password within Create a root password, check the box Enable root access from remote machines, always try to apply a password that no one can guess and now click on Next
  • Go ahead with Execute tab that will assist you to start MySQL Server, once it gets completed click on Finish
  • Windows Task bar -> Start -> All programs-> MySQL-> MySQL Server 4.x, from here you will be able to get a command window asking the password for SQL Server
  • Once the root password entered by you, you need to press enter and you are done with MySQL initialization

In case, MySQL Server database moves to inaccessible manner then, SysTools SQL Recovery will assist you to repair corrupt SQL files along with intact structure.
