Way to Set up Delegation of Mailbox Access in Google Apps

There is an easy solution to configure the Delegation access of mailbox in Google Apps by simply following the few steps. First, you need to log into web interface by using the desired browser.
Note: You cannot use desktop-based email clients to enable the delegation of Mailbox.

  • After logging in, go to Settings >> Account and Import >> Grant access to your account option.
  • Then choose the preference as Make conversation as read when opened by others and then select Add another account.
  • Once the option is selected, enter an email account of the person with which you need to share your account and select Next button. The user to whom you have added an account for delegation will receive confirmation mail with links to allow the users to add delegated account.
  • If user accepts the request then the delegated account will show the username in Gmail. The user can open the delegated account to view it in tab of browser.
