Set Up Call Forwarding On Latest Android Operated Samsung S4 / S5!

Missing a call or being unavailable for an urgent call can sound unprofessional which none of you might want to be. When it comes to business, every call counts as can be packed with an unseen opportunity and none of them can be missed. You might not even want to miss important calls from you dear ones. But what if you are way too far from your cell phone and unavailable to attend call? Call forwarding can be a nicest solution for this situation let’s see how:

Telephony features a unique facility which helps users to redirect calls to some another number. This unique facility is known as Call Diversion or Call Forwarding. It is not necessary that another destination to which the call has been forwarded is telephone only; it can be a mobile, voice mail box, voice email, text messaging, etc where the called person is available. This facility lets you avail benefits of receiving calls from another cell to which your calls have been diverted.

You can also perform this task in your latest Android phone and reroute all the calls to another number while you are unavailable on your own phone. Advance settings can also let you filter calls.

Below mentioned are two methods available, you can choose any of them to forward your calls to destined number;

Method 1: Android Operating System

 You can implement call forwarding using the Android settings by following the below mentioned steps;

• First go to Menu soft button of Home screen.
• Now go to Settings icon.
• Select “Other Settings” and then go for “Call Settings”.

• You will be able to see “Call Forwarding”, select it.

• In case the option is unavailable, you can do it through cellular carrier to forward calls. It has several setting options like;

1. Always Forward: This option will reroute all the incoming calls to desired number without any incoming ring on your phone.
2. Forward When Busy: Although mainly used to send voice mail a missed call this can also be used for forwarding calls. It will be forwarded when you will be on phone and chose not to pick up call.
3. Forward When Unanswered: Forward calls when you are not on phone but choose not to pick up, and call is forwarded to your voice mail.
4. Forward When Unreached: Forward calls when your cell is switched off, in Airplane mode, or out of range and call is forwarded to voice mail.

• Select suitable option.
• And provide the number to which you want to forward.

• Then select OK.
• Icon for call forwarding appears on the top of touch-screen when it is activated.

Method 2: Cellular Provider

You can also use your cellular service provider;

Some phones are forced to use call forwarding using this method only. For e.g. Verizon in US is used to forward calls as a service provider. You have to put the numbers according to following table;

Mechanism – For e.g. you want to forward all calls to xyz number then you will have to dial *72xyz and then touch calling button from your Android cell phone. You will hear a short tone and then automatically call ends. After you perform this operation all the calls which comes to your phone will be diverted to other number. Call forwarding can be disabled using third option.

Both of these methods are competent ways for forwarding calls, however if you don’t want to unknowingly disturb other settings of your android phone and are not a tech savvy to experiment with it the latter method is advisable for you. Cellular provider method is easy and at some places strictly adapted without using Android settings. So, choose the right way and relish the convenience of attending calls all the time.
